Gentleman's Launch
This was my first serious exploration of the potential of DELFTship software to design a ship ~ it had been preceded by various sketch designs
of smaller boats & etc, most (?all) of which have been deleted. It was a great learning experience, made more fun because I knew that
Mr. Nurk (name changed etc. etc.) could never afford to build the ship so I was untroubled by the erratic, changing, contradictory, sometimes downright stupid and occasionally impossible requirement whims of the owner
~ so very different from by previous experience!
The design has progressed as far as interests me.
It was "completed" four or more years ago, and is in
steel. Note that the hull is of a practical, workboat form
and not able to be driven at sexy speeds ~ Nurko was
a gentleman of the Old School ....

NOTE!! This Download will / should / could / might appear in your "DOWNLOADS" folder under a
totally gobbledekookus name. Sorry. Talk to WIX / ADOBE about it for it is none of my doing!!
There is sufficient information in this build package for an enthusiastic amateur with basic welding skills to build The Gentleman's Launch, BUT never forget the advice given by an American Shipbuilder to an Australian Shipbuilder building a ship "identical" to the American one:
"Buddy, we had to solve these sorts of problems ~
~ and you're going to have to solve them too".
If there is sufficient interest, I could recast this design in Marine Ply / S&G (or traditional) and with a hull form able to be driven at a higher speed at the expense of range ~~~ if I live long enough and if my time is not overwhelmed by other matters ~~~
